i've never really played PoE outside of once before, i know how to follow a guide, do you guys have any recommended first timer builds or anything?

This is a good build to start with. Easy enough to level and do content without expensive gear.

Spectral shield throw is the meta go to char at the moment.

far as i'm aware enki's arc guide is still viable, the reason i suggest it is because it teaches about more than just "put on these items with these passives and gl" it goes into depth about things and mechanics very well written

All the time. More programs, more guides, more stupid shit to pick up. Theres even a chrome extension for trading now on top of all the other programs for it.

Tldr: if you dont have 20 hours a week to put into the game and dont want to inevitably buy at least 8 more stash tabs, download and maintain a few trading programs on top of atlas progression and meta farming techniques, dont even bother. Because then everyone and their brother is going to harass you for not doing so.

Sad but true. I can't imagine trying to get a new friend IRL or online to play PoE lmaoo. Especially someone without prior aRPG experience. But I guess, maybe the game is for people who love aRPGs already. However, the game is getting pretty overly complex. Hopefully 2.0 helps a bit

these forums have a pretty big poe side thats cool. I did Forbbiden rite totem this league and it was insane
