It's gonna be pretty huge I think at least for a time. You'll get the current D2 crowd + some D3 players who never got to play D2 and some other random purchasers. It will settle into D2 regulars + extra after 6 months or so maybe. Depends on what happens with ladder.

I just hate the whole "we aren't pulling a wc3 reforged the OG game will still be there" as if anyone is going to be playing OG (on b.net at least) after D2:R is released. So I hope it doesn't bomb because it means killing the original as well.

Even if it sux we will still play it, forever.

Without new content game hype will last less than a year.

Thing is even if they implemented every feature I hate for the sake of "QoL" it's still a much better arpg (imo) than anything else in the market by far.

So yeah, games gonna last another 20 I'm sure of it. Unless something drastic happens with d4, which I'm sure it wont.
