Because someone titled it a "glitch" 15 years ago doesn't mean its an actual "glitch" thats just what people call it. It's been a feature of Diablo 2 since it's inception. It is coded into the game and can be added/removed. The developers didn't call it Weapon Switch Glitch some random person on West came up with the term a long time ago. That again doesn't make it a glitch, it's a pvp feature.

Such a change would warp PvP balance. It would nerf sins by a huge degree and let people freely teleport out of every stomp and reset without being chained down.

When you get mindblasted you have whats called "swirlies" over your characters head for 10 seconds and the timer resets each time mindblast is casted on you. When you combine that with 2 hits from a lightning sentry trap and or fireblast it will put your character in perma fhr lock making you unable to move or attack. To be honest I was not to much of a fan of wsg. It is cheap and causes glitches. If you do not know how to wsg, which would be pick up from being friendly with people in PvP games, you duel anyways. If you duel without freeloading mana pots then any pro duel is a fair match.

You guys are literally talking about pub duel games. That is the lowest form of pvp on diablo 2 and it is not where I'd expect people to know or understand what WSG is

Honestly in this topic it does not matter if it is a public or private game. Taking out wsg will make a team have to be better. Same with individual players. Also if you cannot handle PvP in Diablo 2 Resurrected then you'll have Diablo 2 LoD to play on. Business model wise it is sound so it would take a lot to overturn the current features of the game. If it becomes a full–flow issue then they can release a patch.

I've heard this so many times yet not once has anyone suggested how people are just meant to "get better"..

You don't realise it but "getting better" means PvP will take on an extremely defensive dynamic, where casters are screens away spamming fball/bspear/bspirit or whatever it may be just to avoid stuns.

This makes for extremely boring PvP as the ability to be aggressive is one of the strongest components to D2 PvP IMHO.

You've also failed to consider what the impact of a failed PvP system will have on the longevity of the game, it's simple to say just go back to D2 but end-game PvP gear gives purpose to the entire PvM model..

That's not to say D2R PvP won't work, we'll have to find out, but your flippant remarks show you haven't fully evaluated the situation.
