Hi !

what would you have like to have as a kid when you were in school ?

Let me explain
I'm a phys ed teacher in a new school (9 years old up to 12 years old) and i got told I have a 8k$ budget for some outsite project that I NEED to use this year or I'll lose it forever. We already have a decent recreation zone with a playground/park and a basketball court. So since i'm looking for ideas I thought it would be a good thing to ask to a big community the more ideas the more I can do something cool for those kids !

Some my fav when I was in school, I still participate in a league in some of these sports.
$8K would go along way in-term of gear for these activities, as most of them require very little.

Dodge ball
Flag foot ball
Soft ball
soccer
volleyball
basketball
indoor or field hockey

yeah in term of equipment I'm pretty solid ! I need to buy some more basketball gear since all I had was way old. For the rest everything is pretty new since the teacher before me was doing some good gear rotation with old stuff and buy new stuff in back up.

Really trying to look forward a massive project A flag foot activities could be great tho !

My middle school had the equipment for fencing, which was pretty fun. The swords had little rubber tips to keep students from really doing some damage, but there was one particular foil that didn't have the rubber tip, and every boy would try to get it first lol. Also had the protective suits to go with it, which were kind of tinged from years of use without being washed (so don't get white lol).

That same middle school also had bows, arrows, and hay bale targets for archery. I thought that was super fun and cool, so much so that I convinced my parents to buy me a simple bow and arrow set for either my birthday or christmas. They never bought me a target though, so I'd just lay out some paper on a hill on the lawn and shoot into the dirt lol.

The middle school also had a really nice competition-grade swimming pool. I know that's not in your price-range, but now that I type all of this out I realize I went to a fucking sweet public school system in terms of gym activities. /coolstory

Maybe some bicycles?

we had floor hockey in jr high that was a ton of fun


but also some frisbees for ultimate frisbee. maybe get some nets and disc golf around the school also party/tailgate games are fun and u might get the kids who dont want to participate to join. corn hole, can jam ect

All this is like 100 bucks, dude needs to spend 8k

haha its all good ! I had a good discussion with my direction ! Wanted to build a gaga ball pit, but its on a different budget so I can'T do that, so i'll just increase my inventory

Get some proper floor hockey sticks not those plastic pieces of shit
