it would be a mild inconvenience for a human to check in once every 8 hours (auto log out after 8 hours)

but nearly impossible for bot farms to register and manage that many accounts, specially if they limit 1 account per phone number

even if they tried to spoof a billion fake phone numbers, they would need to keep track of every single one and confirm each account manually.


a mild set back for legits. a massive blow to botters.

Ok I know next to nothing about computers so take this with a grain of salt: in order for blizzard to have actual proof, not just suspicion, that someone is botting, don't they need to hack into his computer?

All the things you mentioned in the op are reasonable but they are not hard proof that it's definitely a bot. Could just be someone who has no life and is very precise in his mouse movements.

So anyways, we simply force not only, online only but livestream only or you cannot connect to the servers. If you Are AFK for more than 5miutes from your chair you disconnect. Multiple GoPros will need to be stationed around your room to ensure you arent placing a dumby in the chair while running a bot.
