My Javazon can run any area in the game fine except for Travincal. The problem is my merc. He always dies. My Javazon can still kill all council members without merc if they aren't lightning enchanted. But if they are lightning enchanted, then I'm screwed and I can't clear the area without my merc's conviction aura. Any suggestions on keeping my merc alive or other strategy to defeat lightning enchanted council members?

My Infinity Merc wears a Vamp Gaze w/15 Ias Jewel and Eth Duriel's Shell w/15 Ias Jewel.
Armor:

are you using a slow polearm like a CV? use a thresher.
Swap duriels to treachery, fade should be proc'd before going to trav.
Tele position your merc. Going down steps to Durance lvl 1 to regroup is an option as well.

Then stop doing trav. Pretty simple right?

I haven't checked the amount of lightning resist they have, but if it is low enough, you might be able to remove them with a wand with lower resist charges. Conviction from infinity may also remove them. Can be used combined too.

Another way is to use the gavel of pain, and cast the amplify damage charges on it, and help your merc out with jab, dealing physical damage.

You can also just kill those that aren't lightning immune and just pick the drops.

Ral the gaze
Use treachery if that doesn't work

10ll andys with ral and dont use cv , my java melted trav ez and merc barely dies

or vex the helm for max fire res

Use fortitude, the damage will help.
Go for crown of thieves with IAS jewel or ral andys visage.
The amount of time youll waste trying to proc fade on mercenary isnt really worth it.

its the fire hyrdas that kill him. Mine dies too on my sorc but I usually give him 1 or 2 health pots.
