Really nice, I think that the software limits you to a soft look with the colors + the material you have make it look like plastic. With this kind of piece you can try to texture it with substance painter if it is something you'd like to do. You'll just have to unwrap the UVs first.
Or you can try to make it look even better with a paint over in photoshop.
But I know right now you just want to sculpt, so go on haha.

Btw it is really rare that the hairs are made in sculpt. If you want to do hair in sculpt, you'll have to do it stylized. Most of the time, hairs are made with some kind of magic softwares or plugins. For games it'll be with hundreds of planes with hair texture placed by hand.

If you're struggling on anything, feel free to ask

Thanks for your feedback man! I’ll try and make some hair’s just for funzies and not for actual game purpose, basically just to learn!!!

I made this creature called ”Woarth” from my fantasy book.

It is basically a swine but with a more agile and Cattle like creature.

Here’s the description:

“The woarth is a swine-like cattle creature. It has very frizzy fur with four tusks and a long mane going down it’s back. It is
very rich in iron, and the Endorians always make practical use of its blood in paint, blood pudding, mosquito traps and for spiritual purposes. It is not commonly aggressive nor passive, but the woarth is most deadly for the incautious.”

Making some amphibian type creature. Will leave this here and make 2-3 other busts to see which silhouette reads the best.

So I wanted to try 3D concept art for a bit, as I am applying for university next year, so before buying a Z-brush license I wanted to try and see if I had any sense at all for this type of work. I downloaded Nomad which was like 18$ on App Store and got started.

Here is my first ever sculpt made! (Never done any 3D or even clay sculptures in my life)

Using Nomad on iPad Pro 11” with Apple Pencil

Time estimated 3,5h

I would continue but the software crashes by changes at this point because the project has reached the max mb limit.

Might send this to Blender and keep working on it there as it lets me make larger projects, perhaps even take a good screen and set it into a scene and edit it in 2D! What do you think? Should I continue?

Appreciate all comments! :-)

Thanks for you kind comments mate!

More dragons will be made in the future when I have more memory to play with and when I have mastered my software properly!

Hopefully next year I have moved to a bigger apartment with my girlfriend where we can dedicate a room to craftmanship and actually get a desktop workspace. Atm I can only sit on the couch and work. It’s both ergonomically frustrating and environmentally distracting.
