There are rulesets that allow ES sorcs to use mana pots?
I assume those rulesets also allow health pots for vita builds then
anyway in general ES just lames out some matchups on its own. Cyclone armor does the same thing to a much lesser extent, but only a few niche matchups with low damage attacks. With ES, either your build has one or more of {poison/ow, stun or overwhelming damage} or the ES sorc is basically unstoppable and can just keep teleporting around after taking 2-3 hits and never get fhr'd, never take serious damage, never get punished. Of course, then she gets whirled by a sin and dies instantly, but ES even without high regen or mana pots or MDR/DR makes some matchups straight up unplayable for the opponent. How is a shaman druid supposed to damage an ES sorc, other than getting off ~3+ consecutive stomps that all get the 50% knockback roll. Nevermind the sorcs ability to instantly kill a bear let alone druid if unstacked, or if she's max block too and then the odds drop to like 1 in 1000 per attempt.
at its root ES is basically a bar saying if you can't deal ~30k damage in one go, you can't hurt or interrupt the sorc at all. Cyclone armor does that for only elemental damage, only up to ~17k, counting down if he can't recast it without being interrupted
thats why u have a poi nova nec built just in case they try and get big on an es sorc abusing mana pots. they just like die.
