Is pretty obvious.. they want people to only play on ezpac, so that when the NEW EXPANSION comes out people all buy that. If we're on Classic we wouldn't buy the expansion in their minds.

Is it confirmed for sure that Classic will not have a shared stash? I feel like I also heard that Classic will retain it's original personal stash size, too, rather than inherit the larger personal stash that the D2R beta/early release had available.
