I’m sure teams are scrambling to acquire a pg who’s afraid to shoot the ball

Teams will scramble to acquire a 24 year old who is already a 3x All-Star, All-NBA, and 2x All-Defensive 1st team selection in his first 4 years.

Sure, he had a horrible 7 game series in the second round against Atlanta, but the capability to be a top tier player is there and he's still years away from even beginning his prime years. Any team will jump on that opportunity, especially when they want to push the narrative that his value is lower than it was.

Morey isn't going to give up Simmons for anything short of an impact All-Star caliber player as they've said. This isn't a trade him just to trade him scenario, they'll have no issue going into next season with him and then just trade him mid-season when his value is high and he's on his 4th All-Star team in 5 years.

Morey and Philly are overvaluing Simmons.
You can want x player for Simmons but it's not realistic.
Very similar to Laker fans thinking a couple years ago that Josh Hart and Kuz were enough to acquire Lillard.

Simmons simply isn't worth a player the level of Lillard or Beal. Even before his playoff struggles he wasn't worth that kind of player.
It would literally take Philly throwing 2 first picks. Thybull + Maxey for philly to even get in the conversation.
You've already said that's too much. But you're wrong.

A gm and fans are allowed to ask for whatever they want. But don't be surprised when people laugh and you get hung up on.
Simmons value isn't going to decrease or increase unless he shows he can take and make a jumper.
The only reason why Har_en was realistic is b/c Har_en wanted out. Without that Simmons for Har_en was not realistic.

I already posted a few weeks back if he actually makes the all-star game in the West. You never responded saying who he'd make it over :(

Lets look back at the return for superstar players who didn't come out and say they "wanted out"... Who were still under contract.
Cavs - Kevin Love - extension kicked in, in 13-14 season
Minn - #1 overall pick Anthony Bennett, #1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, Thad Young(Young talented two way player)
Philly - 2015 first round pick from Cavs, Luc Mbah a Moute and Alexey Shved

Melo had asked out
Knicks - Melo & Billups
Denver - Mozgov, Gallo, Chandler, Felton, 2014 first rounder, 2016 rights for best pick
Minn - Anthony randolf, anthony carter

(Did he ask out?)
Clippers - George
OKC - 5 first round picks, Skai, Gallo, rights to swap best for 2 other first round picks

Please don't play revisionist history in how the unknown players careers played out. These were all young promising prospects.

Lillard is top 2 at his position. Arguable that you could call him 1a and 1a with Curry. As well as a top 10 player in his prime.
Lillard has not asked out, Lillard's 4 year extension hasn't kicked in yet.
Simmons(flawed 3x eastern conference all-star. With real questions if he makes the game the past 3 years. DEVIN BOOKER HAS YET TO MAKE IT IN THE WEST..) two young promising prospects, and two LATE first round picks.
Are not enough to pull a player like Lillard. Given the history of top 10 players being traded for who haven't asked out.

Beal? Beal it's unlikely as well.

You can't expect your 2020 honda to get you a lambo in a straight trade.
Unless you're a laker fan...... Who believes they're getting everyone for their 1989 datsun 510.

Please add any superstar to the list you wish. I just picked 3 off the top of my head.

While we're throwing out dumb trade ideas from sports media

Sports media should also put out there. "NO isn't trading CJ unless it's for a player of Embiids caliber, they're not interested in Ben Simmons. So if he comes available, expect Portland to offer CJ."
SMH.

Draymond was a DPOY/All-NBA glue guy who could actually punish teams if they left him open from 3. Nobody was ever trading a Dame/Beal for him

Ben Simmons has now demanded a trade behind closed doors (pretty obvious considering the back and forth from the 76ers regarding his availability)

I think it’s clear that Ben knows he is unwanted there now and rightfully doesn’t want to play in Philly starting next season. Embiid and Rivers have made it clear they don’t want him there. This isn’t a situation where Philly gets to be picky about someone they can just keep if the offers aren’t good. They are clearly trying to save face as best as possible in a bad situation. Can’t blame them for trying but only an idiot GM would give up an elite player for Simmons in this situation

Look at the teams who are reported as interested? Indiana, Toronto, Cleveland, and Minnesota. These are teams with GMs that know they aren’t FA destinations and therefore have to take risks to improve. These are also teams that value making the playoffs but don’t have any serious title aspirations looming

I think the best/most proven players the 76ers could realistically extract in a Simmons trade are Siakam or D Lo. If it were my decision I’d pair Embiid up with his Cameroonian brother and shop for a 1

Edit CJ is also realistic

Sacramento on trading Fox for Simmons “it is highly unlikely we are trading Fox”

LOL even the ugly step child of Cali has no interest in Simmons… but somehow they’re going to get Dame

That has more to do with how they value Fox then it does their lack of interest in Simmons though....

They love Fox, period. No interest in trading him, so why would they say they do?

edit: and Dame is 8 years older than Fox. Huge difference, two players at completely different points in their careers.
