Over d2 history, you are not atm.. Nowadays, maybe you are.. its that bad.






Like I said, I care because bots and cheaters make themselves out to be something they are not. I was asking also if everyone wants to make legit characters and acutally play d2 when d2r is released, or if they just want to bot that aswel. Most would choose to make a legit character and enjoy the game propperly.. That is directly because you have a legit player base. It would be pointless if the game is going to be like it is now with more bots owning the ladder than legit players.

It does matter..

D2r will re define things.. Hopefully we will have 6 months ladders and legit duels again. Sort out who is actually pro

By definition most botters are pro because to be pro it means you make money doing something.

I know a total of zero pro legit players, there were a couple that made like 100k selling prepatch items but that's like only a year salary. The most pro player of all time is paulrus talborg, hes made more off this game than all item shops combined I would assume

I predict there will still be bots, just less at first, so enjoy the first couple months like a ladder reset with all the rusty nabs coming outta retirement, but it wont last cause we all have kids and jobs and shit now

Every low-life in the world will say that he steals and cheats, because the system is rigged. Of course that is just an excuse, you can't have a civil society when people are stealing from each other and you can't have a fair competition when people are cheating. However it's a pretty good excuse because sometimes this logic applies. Like in case of game where players are put in a scenario of social pressure and economic competition, that requires players to spend more and more time.

The only way to beat a casino is to cheat it. If someone is bragging being legit gambler, that just indicates a lack of awareness of being a victim (of gambling degeneracy). Does this apply to D2? - You decide.

Secondly, competition exists for different reasons, like to give an incentive for competitors to make an effort, to apply themselves, to create a spectacle. Fair competition does not exist and does not really serve to determine who is best or who is better. If you follow sports, ultimate you realize that is impossible to determine who is best, it becomes a theoretical exercise of who was best in their prime, etc. And then competition also becomes about rules and whom the rules favor.

In case of d2 competition (peer pressure) exists to keep people interested and playing, it's but a tool to waste people's time...

Imagine a competition using your rules, wouldn't it just favor people who spend the most time clicking, or who can still function with the least amount of sleep? Are they supposed to be best? - I think not. Though they are certainly the most affected.
