they are like rare pokemon in chess battling warrior form O_ O

what if they double the size of the chess board add new units would it ruin they skills set? or you think real grandmasters can adapt?

They actually have like 4d and 5d chess as well, it’s a chess board with one or more chess boards on top depending on how many dimensions you are playing with.

Chessboxing is also a real sport, between chess rounds you fight in the ring. If you lose in chess or get knocked out you lose the game. Your chess moves are timed as well

I'm fascinated by chess and the chess craze fully caught me, but I can NOT for the life of me get openings down. Memorization is not my thing. I am the first player to ruin the whole game by moving out a pawn when I should've moved a knight out, or knight when I should've moved bishop, self-sabotaging as early as 2-3 moves into the game

So I'm like 1000 ELO. But here's the weird thing. In mid-game and end-game, I can see plenty of moves ahead and know what to do at probably ~1800 ELO or better. It's probably because there's less options, yeah? Forced moves, sacrifices, positional advantage, I have no problem with any of that. Good at puzzles, too. Is that normal - do you really just have to put in the time to learn openings?

I wouldn't overestimate yourself, 1800 ELO is STRONGGGG like top 99.5% of players. How high is your puzzles on chess.com? I just hit 2500 going up... And I'm about 1500 ELO average between dof time controls.

Learn this opening as black trust me. It's nearly always the same or very similar moves. Openings aren't really about memorization. It's more or less just knowing what to do.
