add/abductor machines are valuable, but there are ways to get those parts of your legs strong without sitting and lookin' like a creep.
as far as the slope in your garage is concerned, there's nothing wrong with a little heel lift if you position your rack and/or your direction faced while squatting. it'll actually give you a nice quad iso if you do it right and depending on how much dorsiflexion you're able to get with your ankles it may help you get deeper in the squat as well.
I'm assuming part of the reason you want to get into a gym is to interact with other folk though, been tough for a lot of people grinding in their garages alone. amirite?
The slant/slope is on all 4 sides so if I position heels properly I then get one leg shorter than the other
I just need to build a platform out of some plywood and level it it’s too much effort because the wife wants the car in there and not on the street cuz we live in the city :/. But yeah the garage has no ac/hear so it’s pretty miserable for 8 months of the year.
Interaction with others isn’t a big deal for me - my job is all about interacting/leading so I’d rather speak to no one except say “can I work in” and “how many sets you got left” xD
My goal is to eventually build a sick home gym but I need some bigger land for that.
