There were actually some fun duels in 1.09, but it was mostly this ^^^, especially in pubbies.

why do you prefer duels where players are sitting ducks and have no mobility?

this has always confused me about players who love the time before enigma.

without teleport far less builds are viable. there are more hard counters where players just can't win due to a lack of mobility.
enigma allows all 7 classes to compete with powerful builds. there is more class variety. every single class is strong. this is good for pvp.
