This is going to die fast once the novelty of new graphics fades

I think the unique affix/ legendary looks promising.
I think bringing back meaningful class-specific uniques looks promising.
I think the rune/ runeword system looks promising.
I think PvP could, with the current HP/dmg ratio, be promising.
I think the playstyles of all 4 confirmed classes actually feel and play differently, which is a step up.
I like the open world with semi-randomized dungeons.
I like where the lore seems to be headed.
I like that there is an announced crafting system.
I like the stat allocation system, and skill interactions with bonuses to off-mainstats.
There are more things that have great potential, so I'll stop here.

This is current Blizzard we're dealing with, so they'll definitely find a way to fuck all this up^^^^, and disappoint me greatly.

They will allow power creep to take over, likely. They will add new unique/legendary items every season, rendering nonseason toons useless, likely. They will somehow manage to make blue and yellow items simple salvage, same as D3, and make crafting boring, like D3.

I hope I'm wrong. There is a lot of potential in this game, and so far it looks better than PoE2. Again, this is current Blizzard, they'll definitely, maybe, probably, fuck it all up. Good luck boys.

Meh. All d4 is worth is a small play through once or twice over.

D2r will dominate diablo games. Even if d4 had pvp, it won't be better than d2r

If they make open trading system i doubt D2r will be better.

Depends. Some of the best rpgs I've played since the early 1990s have had some items soulbound. It all depends how it's implemented.

Quest rewards, customizations, etc, being soulbound can make a game better, with more replay value.

I would argue the best games are where some items are soulbound, but still have a large and important trade community.

There are systems where everything can be traded, but once you augment that item it can no longer be traded as it is enchanted to you, and those are some of the most immersive/fun aspects of rpgs I've played.

To each their own I guess though, D2 is great in part for its free trade, while in PoE I think their trade system feels too 'forced'

ig, like i wouldnt have 7k hours in poe if it wasnt for trading thats all im gonna say, last league i traded up to 4 mirrors and this league im having a break and no i dont trade fg for stuff in poe, havent traded with fg since like 2015
