Hi all, i was wondering why people use faith in gmb for pvp, since u need 92ias for max bp and u will face 75% time or more, a slow item like arach on the opponent stuff.

U will lose 1 bp obv.

So a faith in diamond bow is probly more efficient since u only need 65ias. + more versatile build.

Am i missing something?

You do know that slow on arach doesn't work on casters right?

Diamond bow damage - 33 - 40 (36.5 Avg)
Faith Diamond bow damage - 140-180 (roughly)

GMB damage -14-72 (43 Avg)
Faith GMB damage - 60 - 320 (roughly)

u do know that caster doesnt use Faith right ?





So

Faith diamond average dmg is 160
Faith GMB average dmg is 184 (60 - 309, not 320)

so, dmg per sec is 571,2 with dimaond bow 100% time
dmg per sec is 574,08 with gmb 80% of time.

So ur average dmg is litlle lower with diamond bow but not that much.
+ u only need 75ias to counter arach slow. That allow u to equip more versatile stuff, like tiara +2ama and gozu adds (instead of 120/45 recquired for gmb)

Problem is the same.

In past I remember there were certain situations in which Shadow bow was used (or Diamond, not sure), but in general GMB is just way better
Idk how you're calculating Diamond having higher average

These 2 examples of Faiths have only 1ED diff, and average dmg is clearly higher on GMB?

I dont say diamond average dmg is higher (i edited few seconds after i post, maybe u read before i edited)
I'm saying average dmg with diamond is just a litlle lower, but u can use other stuff than 120/45 or cat's eye.

I'm too lazy to check now but do me a favor and check ias table with Titans / Rare javelins (Pilum)
Compare it to total ias you have with GMB and ias you have with Diamond bow.

iirc with Diamond's ias bp you don't hit ias bp for titans.

so with GMB setup you get bigger dmg + ias breakpoint on titans

u right on this point, u cant use titans if u use a 75ias gear.
But u still can use 6/40 to reach max bp. (its 89ias for LF if i remember well, or CS)

and the problem is the same with titans gmb setup. u wont reach max bp if u face an arach (80% time in pubby) so u wont reach max bp with titans neither.
