diablo II wasn't and was well designed... depending how you look at it.
It obviously hit something right, it has a cult following, while at the same time.... clearly somethings were designed utterly piss poor
(hay lets put some 40/15max's in ur armOr)
its the same as human work, it has flaws.
Some changes are good. If you don't think its a good idea to fix the nm FE bug, then I guess I can respect that... but at some point, we both need to accept that you're wanting to punish others with the same learning curve you adhered to, for no reason other then "I had too"
We can go a step further then that. The refresh button on the gambling screen? It just makes sense from literally everyones point of view. Your mouse will experience a fraction of the clicks per gambled item, the server will experience less requests reducing server load.... this is just a clear W for everyone invested.
Look, I don't want you to think I'm against what you're saying, because I'm not. I don't want to see the game dumbed down, made easier, or lose anything that made "Diablo 2".... diablo 2.
BUT AT THE SAME TIME BROTHER, I played that nochanges game for classic wow.... and yeah.... its a missed fucking boat. I still enjoyed classic wow, but I really could have enjoyed it more if we would have shaken a few things up. Addressing old glitches, QoL changes, ect. It's pretty much the same here.

DEVILS advocate to my argument however ;; leave d2:r COMPLETELY unchanged, and just have some form of mod "support"
^ this pretty much destroys all the jargon i typed above it, as it allows for BOTH the "true" diablo 2 experience to remain unchanged, and also provides an avenue for community intellectually crowdfunded ideas to manifest.
