Depends on your elo. Kassadin will stay the strongest candidate for almost all tiers of the mid laners you mentioned.

Best supports are tank aftershock roamers with a few exceptions like Bard. U can get away with playing enchanter supports in lower brackets and sometimes its considered better than tanks cuz its easier to pull off.

All the mage supports: Vel'koz, brand & xerath are in a bad state.

Best supports are roamers who can set up plays and control jungle

AP mages are def on a back-seat with seekers nerf. Kass probably best for solo q out of those you mentioned but there are better picks
