It takes less time to let the topic die like half the other trades on the site. If you want to update the list to t4t, done, sold, etc so that you feel you are a better trader than the next than do so. If all trade deals are done following the rules you should not need to constantly update a trade list to done but rather follow all the trades.

In addition to "Done" as much as you are saying it may save time you are essentially bypassing the GM Opportunity for people to say t4t, update the trade list, and more.

I see Done being used for laziness and thus causing less quality control of each individual user and on a larger site basis. I think it takes away from people having an opportunity to engage themselves in their trades. Rinse and repeat. It could get boring.

I understand. The suggestion would have an impact on nearly every single user on the site. I am trying to think about the cause and effect of what your suggestion would to do the site both on an individual user and as the site in whole, both for the present and the future.

Could you elaborate a little more on this please? Would the thread show up in the search feature after its been marked as done or would it have a special flag showing done?

If you are PM trading, which is not how we are supposed to do things, then I don't see the need for you to announce to the public you made your trade. Let the topic die or edit it. You are already taking extra time trading VIA PM.

100% yes.

Especially for not very common Items/rune words, when I don’t put T4t or so, people still pm me, when they do search... would be much easier for both sellers and buyers (searchers)

Auto Edit First Text on thread is getting interesting. This would allow for not only "done" but other buttons.

The site does not just support p2d. I understand their are some white lines when it comes to trading safety with some games here but in the end rules are rules. Since this would happen site wide I can't ignore the rest of the site because of p2d. Maybe if this suggestion was to get implemented it could be implemented for certain parts of the forums, much like how requesting a trade meditator works.
