I got myself a markus from ikea, don't really like it as it hurts my back after long sessions.
As for build quality it is good, sat for a years and it still looks brand new.

Not sure about the other one though :|

is it the lumbar support? does it dig into your back? or something else? cause the chair I have right now is kinda like markus chair but no high back and the lumbar support digged so bad into my back for years but I kept it cause most of my other chairs break way easier. but I finally realized u can change the lumbar support with a knob and it doesnt dig into my back anymore.

and if the markus did dig into ur back can u change it with the knob? j/w b4 purchase.

From my understanding Herman Miller or Steelcase is the way to go for computer chairs.

I feel like the max i'd go (cause CAD) is a dx racer for 320. anyone know if the dx racer's can rock? cause the fact that the markus can is pretty much a big w for me right now.

Most dxracers rock and I've owned 3 of them so take it from me when I say that they are not worth it whatsoever. If you're going to go against others opinions and purchase one anyways then make sure you have a good benefits plan for your back :)
