Does someone have a tutorial on how to connect an external email to outlook using a microsoft account?

I know it's an IMAP, but I don't know how to work the configuration settings. Some please help, I need it for my job.

Just to confirm you're trying to connect the email account to the Outlook client or Outlook on the web? Most of the time it's as simple as adding an account through File > Account Settings in the Outlook client, entering your email address and check the advanced options to set your account up manually. Then you're able to choose IMAP at that point and put the password in.

It's possible that you'll have to dial in specific settings like TLS/SSL and a port if it's not using the standard port (993) but these settings you would get from whoever is providing that mailbox.

If you go into your settings theres a chance that there's an option that says "Sync Email" although I've never used it. Typically when you want to add a new email account you're better off using the Outlook client or another similar client like Thunderbird.
