Firstly, if this has already been debated and decided to be stupid - my apologies.

I have read discussions on ”locking gear” to ensure that its not shrined or deleted by misstake, and even to some extent to tag items to ”owners” post vault-transfer.

As an avid soloer, with fat fingers and a solid track-record of shrining my gear/essences/what not, my suggestion hopefully
makes sense, and is not to complicated from a development perspective.

Simply the below:

A ) in settings - allow users to toggle ”Child proof shrine/trash bin”

B ) if A) is on - throwing something in the shrine/trash Will prompt a dialouge box ”Are you sure you want to shrine/trash ”x”” - where the player need to click OK or NO

I do like that you have the option to enable/disable it. When I started reading I was concerned first that It will make soloing quite annoying.

I would personally not use it, but I see a quality of life change here for the mobile players.

Sound idea and sounds simple enough.

I guess it would work like adding stat points for it to work since there are no other interactive popups other than the basic roam-over effect used to view items etc.

I'll say yes as i'm a mobile player, and shrining is quite dangerous. I sometimes doubletap by mistake and it equips the item i want to shrine, saw it in time so nothing good was shrined. This would help me a lot

I agree! I play on mobile and it’s far to easy to shrine an item on accident.

Agree with the above.

Returned after a ~6 year hiatus, playing on mobile, and this is my only main concern. It's very easy to shrine or trash something in error on mobile. Havnt done it yet but can see it happening, even with the obvious "be careful" remarks.

That and the opacity of the map and character arrow marker on it is quite difficult to see on a normal cata, but that's a different subject of course.
