I’m looking into adding a cable machine to my home gym and Im torn on which type to get. They have the normal ones with the weights already on them and they have the ones that you add your own plates for the weight for quite a bit cheaper. Are the ones that you add your own weight any good or should i just get the ones that you see in a gym?

oh man moving SUCKS when you have machines that come with the rectangle weights, just get the weightless, trust me

and in turn you can use the weights for other things - dumbbell handles, barbells, pullup belt, other weightless machines, hell if the weight plates have good enough handles you can use those for some excercises

oh and dont get the noobie 1 inch standards (only go up to 25lbs) get the 2 inch olympic plates (goes up to 45lbs)
