im looking for a police show with a dark investigation (1 investigation in 1 season or more, not 1 in each episode).

last years i realy enjoyed shows like True Detective (S1 obv^^), The Killing (US version) and Cardinal.

This was not as dark as the shows i mentionned, but i have to say the season 1 was realy interesting and brillant !
The second season was good but as the real investigations about this serial killer ... it was too short

I just watched The Exorcist season 1 and i have to say im so disapointed ... watching S2 but ... i dont have a lot of hopes ! please give me something realy good for the next show

Altered Carbon s1 might fit. Its not really a police show, but it does have similar aspects. A guy is hired to investigate deaths.

Can't really think of anything else that's actually good outside of the killing and true detective.

Outcast also has two seasons, it's darker than the exorcist tv series.

There's also tell me a story, pretty dark spin on fairy tales. Watch the original ones, not the cut ones put on the cw.

Watched Amercian Crime. I liked it, but nothing dark imo ...
I dont know the other ones, i will check em

edit : just checked informations about The Sinner and it goes directly in my playlist thx to Matt Bomer ! I liked him so much in White Colar
the subject seems similar to Mindhunter, so this show might do the job ! thx for recommandation

It seems we dont have the same definition of "dark shows"
