'Instanced' and 'Personal' loot are the same thing. 'Account Bound' is different and is loot that you cannot trade once you pick it up, as it is 'bound' to the account that first held it.

Ok, thanks. Next question: what do instanced and personal loot mean?

Instanced loot and personal loot are the same thing. It is when whatever items drop, they are exclusively for you, the player that sees them. This is opposed to shared loot, where when something drops, everyone can see it and grab it.

Account bound loot is a separate thing, where you are unable to trade the items that you get. Diablo 3 is an example of both instanced and account bound loot.

It means that if you're playing in a game with multiple people that all the items you see that drop are only seeable by you, and only you can pick them up. It's in contrast to the current D2 item drop system in which all items drop for everyone in the party at the same time and it is a free-for-all to be the first person to pick it up.
