It's a matter of probability, talking about averages is irrelevant in a PvP setting where rounds last a matter of seconds, which brings down the total times the spell is cast.

I've played many lite sorcs, and I have seen MANY low dmg hits in an entire round.

How do you calculate average damage of 25k if you're doing 1-50k? You have a spread sheet of testing? I don't understand where you get your numbers from.

1+50,000=50,001/2 = 25000.5 avg damage
problem is gets shots out less quickly, however light can be much harder to avoid, making it a good defensive sorc
