I don't know if I would say one better or worse than the other. I think Bliz is trying to appeal to 2 different markets with the games. D4 is geared towards the current generation of players and bringing in new players while D2r is directed at bringing back old players and getting them back into bliz products.

Not rly, if they fail to make good D4 it will end like d3 in a year and it will be fail for a reputation of a company thats falling. They need to appeal to all players with D4, making the best arpg as they can. They need pvp and open trading.

D4 looks and feels a lot like D3 to me. I’m not that excited for it. Hopefully it’s good but will have to play it to find out, although my hopes aren’t high at all.

Good comparison. If you're down to play through the story + a "simple" arpg you'll probably really enjoy D4. If you're looking for complexity, D2r or POE will probably fulfill that itch a bit more
