I mean, it's Mortal Kombat, OF COURSE I'll see it, but my expectations are pretty low. It looks like they're putting a lot more effort into this than previous entries, the CGI looks great, the acting should be marginally better, but everything else will probably be pretty bad lol.

I love cheesy action films though, especially with this type of shit, I've probably watched Ninja Assassin 20 times.

Ninja assassin has zero plot, but the action is just top notch.

I was hoping they would've turned those MK webisodes into a full feature film. Where they made all the elements more based in realism.

So movie was pretty decent. Not as good as I thought to be honest. The trailer made it look better, but I had a feeling that would happen. As a whole the movie was just so much different than I thought it would be.

The acting is just meh and some of the dialogue is cringe

The action and the fighting is great! The characters are done really well including their moves and abilities and fatalities.

The movie needed to be longer. Great example of something that should have been like an 6-8 part series cause the entire thing was just super rushed. And you can tell they are setting this up for multiple movies.

But the worst part of the entire thing is Cole Young. Fucking lame and boring and his abilities are wack. They could have come up with something better than what they did. Cause his shit is dumb.

Kano is awesome.

I agree with you but I give it a little bit of higher score more like a 7.5
I couldnt stand Raiden dialogue it was horrible
It was one the best movies based on a game that I seen in a long time

Kano dialogue genuinely saved the movie for me. They need to bring him back.

I agree movie felt rushed. I think they could have done a much better job at setting up the franchise for multiple films with more backstory on the tournament, but I understand why they chose to focus more on some of the fights.

The focus on Cole Young was kind of dumb to me. Idk i genuinely had to look him up because I haven’t played the game in so long and forgot that character. Personally focusing Johnny Cage or Liu Kang would of been a better fit because they got more brand IMO.

Also wasn’t a huge fan of Scorpions fight scene. They could of done better. Goro’s fight also. Like he was a boss in many games having him get owned by Cole Young like he did was underwhelming.

I’ll obviously watch the sequels and this was worth the watch but could of been better.
