She got caught smoking weed in her car on her smoke break.
Even though she has her medical card they're still going to let her go.
I know this information but I'm not supposed to know. The manager thinks if I talk to her it'll be easier on her because I'm her friend... Yikes man

Well, it sounds it is against the law, firing someone because she uses something the doctor lets her because of her medical status, but I'm not a lawyer.
Also, tell your manager it is not your job to lay out people.

There's a difference between federal regulations and state regulations, and in any situation if a company wants they do not have to employ someone that is under the influence of a federally controlled substance

You really need to find out what's in this for you. You're not supposed to know so I can only assume firing people isn't your job either.

As much as I like her, I have morals when it comes to work ethic, and while she isn't the spit in your food type of person, she is the kind of person that has an attitude 24/7 unless she's so baked that she can't be mad

e/ in my opinion, it would be best to let her go
