anyone looking forward to a new amapk meta on d2r without prepatch items?

i've been thinking about putting all professional and personal things on the back burner for a few months to grind d2r. i keep thinking about it every day; not sure if i'll ever be this hyped for a new game again. i got kinda bored playing the beta but it's only a1 and a2 so i suppose it's bound to be boring if you're playing a pvm sorc the whole time.

if blizz can actually reign in the duping and botting, the supply/demand for 3-xx-20 scs and other similar items is going to make for a very trade-centric dueling experience, i think. currently, on nl, it doesn't take much effort to get an invent full of decent scs.

The only prepatch item anyone uses is 08 gaze. Duping in d2 is pretty much done right now, it remains to be seen how botting will fare in d2r.

this is far from the truth. many oldskool zvz players have/had a dozen or more 5frw-3-20 scs (worth 10k each these days, apparently.) besides, 08 gaze was one of the cornerstones of the zvz build. soul spur was also a favorite, although i preferred wartravs.

i guess we go back to fort with its 20% chance to cast chilling armor when struck, which adds chaos to an already RNG-heavy matchup (crit, dmg rolls, block, dodge, avoid, evade)

Nothing wrong with regular gaze, and 120/45 with shaft is as good a setup as any. No good zons ever used soul spurs zvz, lol.

these were used by sutton, HSKRECOVERY, and at least a few other top-10 zvz ladder duelers.



the 5% DR difference between 08 gaze and current gaze is enough to make current gaze worthless. it doesn't have any other desirable mods.

shaftstop only has 30%dr and 60 life. the other mods are almost completely useless. you'd be better off with ss and dungos for 50% DR at that point.
