So around here there arent plenty of wooded trails and open fields to be able to cross country ski, for those who fall a lot , they use Snowshoes.
Downhill skiing tho is definitely a fav, and if you havent tried it yet, go to a resort hit a bunny hill and than climb the mountain. Its a blast

Snowboarding is what everyone thinks is the cool way to come down the hill. I see plently of Dads hitting the slopes the first time asking to rent snowboards rather than skis. Must be a imagine thing I swear lol. Both are fun tho! yet im better at skiing so i usually rent skis.

Yes i rent soo im not avid. But its recreationally enjoyable.
