did not, honestly been out of the chess scene for quite some time. im good enough to destroy my father in law when we're on vacation and its too rainy to fish, but pose no threat to anyone who's actively playing.

Bruh, I suck. I used to play a lot as a kid/teen. My father and grandfather were pretty good.

Started playing again recently after like 15ish years. I'm blundering pieces left and right. Granpappy be straight spinning in his coffin.

I used to be good for a teenager. For a while I got my whole high school into chess and kicked all their asses.

Then they moved on to ping pong, and they also quite when I got good.

Actually, lots of elementary through high school was "new fad, Thor joins, Thor beats everybody, new fad", except for basketball which was always in the background. I was never good at basketball because I hated it with every fiber of my being.
