I am trying to read more these days and like to listen to music when I do. It's usually got to be instrumental, so I tend to like jazz, ambient and classical music but very light vocals could be okay.

Looking more so for entire album recommendations or composer names so I don't have to constantly be switching songs when I get into a good groove. I've also found free jazz somewhat difficult to read to, too abrasive and a lot of times the harsh wankery makes it hard to focus lol.

Beethoven and Mozart are my favorite things to listen to whilst reading. My teacher used to play them during our reading time, about 4 or 5 different tracks that looped so I got into a flow and it became background.

Mew - And the Glass Handed Kites (album). its a rock band but its very light sounding.
the songs segue one to the other for the most part. so it almost feels like one song. has vocals but the lyrics are nonsense, they just sound nice. some songs are instrumental or have a long part without vocals. its a bit like enya fused with a rock band. id use the album a lot for manga but for something like a novel you may want less vocals

Astor Piazzolla - Suite Punta del Este (near 20minute song) idk if its considered jazz or classical music but has those kind of instruments with the accordion being the star. you'll recognize it because the melody was used for 12 Monkeys and a Simpsons episode.
no vocals, dark/ominous sounding.

cool question. What are you currently reading?

dungeon synth more often than not. I read a lot of Tolkien and "historical fiction"? Currently reading pillars of the earth... again ><
I have to keep volume low or I get distracted though.

This takes me to another realm. entire album is great though:
