yeah. i always follow up with something like "thanks for buying 500m gp from me"

Step 1: Contact person you are buying or selling from
Step 2: Agree on a ratio
Step 3: Determine if a mediator is needed, or who is going upfront
Step 4: Provide each other with in-game name, world, and location you will meet for trade at
Step 5: Meet at said location and complete the trade (Video/take photos as a precaution to have proof if a scam occurs)
Step 6: If necessary, send user a PM via D2JSP confirming you are trading with said person
Step 7: Accept the trade and send fg if you did not go first

Probably missed something, but mentioning FG or JSP or anything outside of 't4t' and I probably log off without completing the trade, and then blacklist you from any service/gold purchase/sale.

99% of the time I don't say ANYTHING in game. Trade, bank, log out.

This is really good - only thing I would add is:

1) Trading some random items if you are buying the gold or asking the other user to trade you some random items if you are selling the gold - I donno if this really helps, but it definitely helps provide peace of mind regardless
2) Make sure you post in the topic, or have the other user post in your topic - if there is no topic, your safest bet is to create one

But other than that the above post is great, and exactly how I handle my rs trades - Log in, trade, log out or tp away

I think ppl get confused about d2 trade where u mention name in game.

You'll easily get banned by mentioning RWT in game.

I go to the ge 5 mins early and strike up a convo with a random saying I got scammed. Seller walks up and helps me out.

I generally dont buy large amounts at a time though. Like 10-20m if I even buy at all.
