So today’s the first day I’ve been able to rebuild my pc since getting my last issues resolved.

Everything turns on, I get into the bios. Everything looks fine. But after 20-60 seconds I lose signal. Trying to fresh install windows and even when I boot to the install usb, I have the same issue. I begin to set it up and signal goes away.

Help

If I go home tomorrow I’m taking my work gpu to test.

Should I reset CMOS?

Tried clearing CMOS this morning, still crashed.

Brought home my 1070 from work, plugged it into system. No crashes..... just gonna get everything setup and ready then trouble shoot my 2080S, really hope nothing is wrong.

So did a bit of my own trouble shooting.

Step 1: with the 1070 in the system, re-installed and updated graphics drivers.

Step 2: So the 2080Super is AIO cooled via NZXT G12 bracket connected to a Kraken x63, so I thought maybe during all my 200 reinstalls over the last week+ maybe something came loose or thermal paste got disrupted. So I disassembled, cleaned it, and re-applied thermal paste, and re-assembled the unit. Installed the GPU back into the system.

Step 3: The AIO connector for the GPU that connects to Motherboard had been previously plugged int SYS_FAN, I plugged it into CPU_FAN instead

One of the 3 steps, if not all 3 fixed the problem. And the GPU seems to be running fine without issues. So not sure if it was the drivers or the thermals and maybe it was overheating, or the MOBO was shutting it down because of the wrong connection

Regardless, my nightmare seems to be ending finally
