question sounds weird and is probably weird but i m feeling bad :/
we had to hand in a presentation ( video ) and my presentation is 38 minutes .
i ve asked our teacher if that s fine because " roughly " for me means " in between 40 and 45 minutes , or a few minutes more or less than 40 or 45 " .
he hasn t replied me yet and there won t be any replies in the week end anyway ._.

what do you think ?

My profs always used the +/- 15% rule.

Timed presentations, reports and any other submission can be 15% more or less than the instruction given in the outline. Every school/prof will have different rules and expectations so you should really wait for their reply on their expectations. Nobody on jsp will know for sure.

I'd say you're safe with a 38 minute video unless your prof is a stickler for rules.

Don't stress about it - as long as you're getting all of your required information in 38 minutes. Most are understanding of the current circumstances. Based on the rough timing you were given, you'd have grounds to dispute it if you're not happy with your grade :)

The assignment is done and submitted. Just take a deep breathe as there's nothing you can do now but let it go and wait :)

Dont stress it
Sounds like this is your first semester on uni. Am i right?

The teachers dont give a fuck in general haha, youll see that eventually.
That said; roughly 40-45 means roughly, mere guidelines, if all is according to the task 38min is perfectly adequate. In fact prof is probably thankful he or she didnt have to listen to a full 45 and can call it a day.

For the record, if your teachers usually answer within 2-3 days or less Id be super thankful! Some at our uni simply dont answer. Like at all. And some might answer but 3-4 weeks. A few are more professional but yeah 2 or less days is rare.

I think this just depends on specifically the teacher and his "idea" of what is right. Some are "by the book" and have specific instructions and want you to understand some "life lesson"

And some would be like pfft it's 2 minutes.

Really just think if the teacher is rational enough. If it was the government I'd say NO because they are irrational and don't "think" they just follow.

So think about who your teacher is.. and you'll have the answer on what to choose imo

thanks to all of you who replied and helped  , i was just told my 38 minutes are fine ( even 30 minutes would have been alright if one covered the entire topic within that time frame they said ) ! :)
