So, did anyone who watch the movie also watch the 7 episode anime?
The first episode was new content but very lackluster, to me Rengoku is such a badly written character and that episode didnt change that in the slightest.
Since i didnt watch the movie heres my review of the arc in general, be wary of spoilers:
Having the fight on a train is an interesting idea but pretty stupid when you think about it since there is no room to use your abilities. The dream thing was cool but just a straight up copy from infinite tsukuyomi.
If I remember correctly from the first season, the top 3 demons are way too strong for the hashira to fight alone, I was actually waiting for Shinobu or someone else to show up and help.
So i kinda knew from the beginning how the fight would go.. The end scene were everyone cried was kinda lame, im not sure if there were translation errors but i wasnt moved in the slightest by the speech from Tanjiro.
By far the best thing about this arc was that Zenitsu was asleep the whole time and didnt say a word. I hate that character, they flanderized him so hard with his childish whining (is it flanderization if the character already starts out like this?)
Ok childish rant over.
Animation and sound was again by far the best part about the anime.
I give it a 6/10
