TikTok. The app with such sophisticated nation-state level spyware that it is a matter of deep presidential urgency to ban it from the app stores for new users. But not enough to warrant forced uninstalls, OS patches, or publication of firewall config info. Right. Yes.

Tik Tok is an app whose parent company is based in China, & definitely very likely shares the data it collects with the Chinese government. This data includes the users email, phone number, links to other social media accounts, location, audio, camera recordings & contacts. A lot more data than FB or Twitter collect, for example. Several companies have already mandated that their employees delete the app, like Wells Fargo, Amazon, the entire country of India, plus the U.S Army & Navy.

Of course the casual observer either doesn’t know or ignores all of these & instead opts for oRaNgE mAn BaD!!!!11
