Maybe its just a small city thing, but I live in a big city and every console release I have never had to pre-order, minus xbox 360 release, and I still got it a week after.

Every other system I have been able to walk into walmart or best buy and get it on day of release. While people complained about switch/switch lite being sold out, my walmart had about 50 behind the glass, just be patient, you will be able to get one on release day im pretty sure unless you live in a small town with only 1 big store.

However I heard some people had to work over an hour in queue to get one :(
