I recently started playing maplestory and i have leveled to 165 on the reboot server. After 140 i havent found any gear.
Does anybody know where to farm for better gear?

Majority of the end game gear are obtained from doing bosses (such as chaos root abyss, gollux and lotus/damien).
Regular mobs only drop up to level 140 ish gear I believe.

allrite ty, do u know which boss i should kill?

/e also does it matter what channel i search bosses from or should i allways search from channel 1?

The bosses I mentioned earlier would be some you would want to do, they have pre quests you need to do before fighting them.
I believe you can access them from any channels now, upon completing the prerequisite you can go into a room for the boss fight.
They will be a bit difficult for beginners, so you might want someone to help you or go in with a party. =D

For root abyss there will be a quest in the light bulb on the left hand side (level 125, urgent summons). You'll need to finish that quest line and do normal root abyss bosses 10 times before you can unlock chaos difficulty. The quest itself won't take long for root abyss, however you can only fight the normal root abyss bosses once a day.
And I don't remember the quests for the other bosses, but shouldn't be too hard to find. ;P

E/ Lotus and Damien pre quests will take you a couple of hours to complete, but will be required for gear progression.
Heroes of maple for Damien and Black Haven for Lotus.
