There are many options. I personally use GA on hardcore and switch to salvation for meph and that's it. I could Uber with like 10fg in gear.

So yes use it. Better options ? Yes but your gear will need to reflect it.

use rising sun and 2x dwarfs. ignore venom lords and they'll heal you to full constantly.

Use lvl 18 conviction against mephisto to delete his aura, so nn specific light res items - ez

You have to stat 18 skill points yourself into conviction(not due items) to gain that effect.
