I'm not the first to suggest this or trying to take any credit for this suggestion.
My goal is that this topic will have visibility and not be forgotten about, because it would be a great change.

This could hopefully be extended to having the capability of splitting stacks of fish as well.

How it could work:
-Shift+Click the stack to select the amount to pull from the stack
-Any other way njag comes up with

yes of course. i think utilizing the market place or the vault deposits as offering a quantity to place for trade, transfer, or deposit would allow this being possible maybe without adding a new function to the gui. but i could be wrong.

How would this effect re-stacking fish? Can it be manipulated in making higher average fish stacks?

Okay... so what about fully cooked or suffucensed fish stacks and the averages since the range is higher? (haven't fished / cooked for like 4 years not sure if you can stack cooked etc)
