If I reroll do I keep my current items?

yea absolutely, you keep all items and proficiency you just lose your level and go back to lvl 1

the benefit to doing that is that you keep gaining proficiency on 1 char

alternatively you can just use another char and keep ur guy at lvl 50 and resume him later

Keep ur char at 50...make new char...climb much as can...then repeat process..when this event is over and if next 1 doesn't have crazy monster diff..u should be able to finish them...also make groups and see if any1 is on near ur lvl...sometimes if I'm on I don't mind helping out...a warlock loves a good meat shield

Right on. Thanks for the help fellas. Should I do another barb? Are the other chars fairly expensive? If I go barb again should I change anything about my stats/abilities?

you're not really getting a fair assessment of your ability and progress because this event is ridiculously hard. With your armor and 60 vit in this event at lvl 50 you're going to get destroyed each wave and have to regen.

keep him at lvl 50 and start a new char and climb him up, or you can reroll your main char to lvl 1 and start new to find items

you're not really going to make it to MQ in this event with your gear

Do not reroll. Keep him as a mule for now, build another character, and when you finally can afford better gear put it on him and continue climbing until you finally master quest. Also, you can find maps with wells or evil presences which can also sell.

Fishing wells? If so I've definitely come across a few of those. How do I sell the map exactly?

The wells you find in game are generally not valuable (you might find someone to pay a few fg for it but most of the time they are posted for free in the catacombs thread). However, once you finish a dungeon and visit all the squares/tiles you get a map. And depending on the level and what stats are on it, some are valuable and most are useless

Gotcha. Thank you. What makes them valuable generally?

Wells, evil presences, treasure chests (when there is a tc event), + guild points .....those are the main ones for maps

Also the higher lvl maps will sell better than the lvl 1-3 ones

Thanks. And quick question for ya on my new character. As I hunt for lvl 30s to sell for small amounts of FG, what's the best approach. Do I go through the catacombs and clear it all to advance to the next one a few time and then sit in one and spam T? How do I make sure I stay fighting things that will drop lvl 30s but won't get too strong?

Whatever works best for your play style. For example, I only get 30-45 minute availability during certain parts of the day or less since I work and have a “phone Nazi” wife so I typically stay around lvl 55 -65 or so and just keep dying off whenever I get close to level. I typically sell any item I find lvl 25-30 and up and shrine the rest.

I also used to have a lvl 25-30 character I would run in full magic luck gear and go map hunting.

I would say whatever strategy gets you the quickest kills and the most items works best

Edit also if you are map hunting it’s better to use a rogue since they avoid trap doors...
