What's this?9-11 teams snake draft like normal, while the vampire team does not. Once the draft is complete the vampire makes a team out of the remainders on the waiver wire.
If the vampire team beats another team, he gets to trade one of his starters for one of the other team's starters...and you have no say in who (position).
You may intentionally bench players to prevent the vampire from taking them but keep in mind that
every team that finishes worse than the vampire at the end of the playoffs is subject to a year-long name change. To prevent another fit, I'll explain it as clearly as possible:
At the end of the season (including canceled season), if your position in the league is below the Vampire (including tiebreakers) you are subject to getting a name change for a calendar year.Everyone has access to waivers, but a day later than the Vampire. Trading is allowed, but collusion will not be tolerated.
Prize payout is dependent on how many name changes are needed at the end of the season. First come, first serve. Regulars will be given priority over rands.
Big thanks to GSY for donating 60k to the pot for this year.
COVID IMPACT: In the event of an abbreviated or canceled season, the rules will be amended slightly. If the season ends before Week 10, nothing will happen and I'll likely host some sort of freeroll for the subforum or fg payouts of another kind. We can brainstorm a bit. If the season ends AFTER Week 10, the rules will apply as usual. Join at your own risk.
2019 GSY Vamp League 1.0As a Vampire League is not part of ESPN standard format, the Vamp will have to work with me each week to facilitate add/drops before the rest of the league and force trades for the victim players on other rosters. I'm only looking to work with those I know will communicate well.
