You're in for headaches. Subaru had entire lawsuits dedicated to the drivetrain offered in that year for the WRXs. Entire articles specifically written about the 2012 about why they are terrible. I would do your research on these cars before buying one. They are plagued with issues through all years. Buddy of mine had one for 6 months, brand new, spent 4 months in shops trying to get fixed. There's a reason they are made fun of as often as they are.

Higher insurance premium as well with the 'Impreza' model even for the basic non-sport setup. Wonder how many of the WRX/STI drivers beat the hell out of them? Comes with the territory

Lol lotta funny posts gg.
But yea dont go for the newer subaru unless its the brz FA20 motor is badass has better power to weight ratio than 911porche if u build it rite. Seen a Crawford built brz made 500whp and 500tq.
My personal fave subie is the legacy rs or ss or turbo legacy 1st gen its pretty reliable for turbo has a fully closed deck motor so can handle some serious boost.
A fine example
