If you have registered the keys on Blizzard website, simply follow these steps:

1. Enter Blizzard website : https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/
2. Enter your Blizzard account associated with the Diablo II key
3. Click on your name and the press "Account Settings"
4. Click on Games & Subscriptions at the menu to the left.
5. Scroll down to "Classic Games"
6. Click on "Download Game Client" on the same row related to Diablo II.
7. Install the game using the key you saw in step 6.
8. Have fun.

I'm good on the website side, just need to know how to setup the PC side.

I updated D2 LOD to compatibility mode and updated to run as administrator, but the game won't load and it asks me to insert my CD.

Then you probably used different installer then Blizzard provide.
Follow the steps I provided.

I need help setting up the PC side, i.e. how to run on Windows 10. I got the "-w" in the target, running as admin and set compatibility mode to Windows XP Service Pack 3, but the game still won't load. What am I missing?

The error message I'm getting is:

"Game.exe - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)
Click OK to close the application"

After I select OK it prompts me to insert my CD, which I don't have.
