Kagome is a bow/melee sorceress build. The first attempt at Kagome made it to nightmare before I hit a wall. She did not die but her character file was a victim in an unfortunate hard drive crash.
I have set certain goals at certain points of progression in order to instill survival and dps.
Act 1 will be very vital as far as farming to set up for normal mode.

Set Goals:
-death glove/belt
-3x ral'd bow or raven claw bow either will do
-stealth runeword
-leaf runeword
-farming some rals to cube into an ort

Goals completed:
-death belt
-stealth runeword
-leaf runeword
-3x ral'd bow

Important Things To Note:
-Players 8 with exception of reruns.
-Ladder runewords enabled.
-S/S of den-cain did not take for some reason...

Got the runes for stealth, leaf, and the 3x ral bow.

I think at this point I should disclose I am level 20 (I am around lvl 18 at smith)and my current skill tree is set up like this
+7 to static field
+5 to warmth
+1 to each prereqs
+1 to teleport
+3 to enchant
static does some work and is a core skill for normal mode mobs and bosses.
It is now time to run some norm andys a few times.

Deaths sash off a random monster on my way to andy was a nice surprise.

Good luck! Melee sorcs are intriguing, seems like they'd be pretty squishy without GG gear.

Did some andy runs until lvl 22 pretty much nothing needed dropped as expected lol.

Yes very squishy my origional was just bow only and I found that with out a shield for swap my chances of survival were slim.
however that is with out es I am planning on eventually respecing for a es build once more levels are gained.
