Spurs have furloughed their non playing staff members. The UK govt is paying 80% so they are getting a 20% pay cut for being furloughed. Meanwhile, the players and manager are still being paid 100%.

Surely they should have stepped in and offered to take a pay cut to cover the non-playing staff? On their wages, a 5 or 10% pay cut would probably have been enough

Imagine there will be a few clubs doing the same. Shame one as big as spurs feel the need to be this cheap though. 550 staff, how much could 20% of their wages for a few months really cost? Pretty shocking.

I assume the players are already under substantial indirect pay cuts due to lack of various appearance and match day bonuses.
