So it took me a minute to create the "character" so to speak. I was actually going to make a Rafiki build; a character limited to staffs while using Leap, Leap Attack & Grim Ward as primary skills. Buuuut I thought that may be a bit too difficult. So I googled "characters that use a staff" and guess who came up as #1?... Gandalf, baby!! So that's the character that I'm revolving my build around. I'm big into fitness and so when I came across this picture, I knew what had to be done.

Introducing....GAINDALF!!

Skill Allocation

Combat Skills:
  • +1 Bash (prerequisite & synergy)
  • +1 Stun (prerequisite)
  • +20 Concentrate

Combat Masteries:
  • +20 Mace Mastery
  • +20 Iron Skin
  • +X Natural Resistance

X=Enough for max resistance (in combination with gear & charms)

Warcries:
  • +1 Howl (prerequisite)
  • +1 Find Potion (prerequisite)***
  • +Y Shout
  • +1-3 Find Item (Magic Find purposes only)***
  • +20 Battle Orders
  • +1 Battle Command

Y=Remaining points after other skills are maxed
***=Respec and remove all skill points once "end-game gear" has been acquired (or at least close to it)

Time to begin our journey.

Once a staff drops, I'm all in.

Finally!! Geez, I had cleared practically everything from Camp till the Cave (which is where this dropped) in the Cold Plains before the first staff drop. I was about to go buy one before this bad boy dropped from a Champion monster.

Gaindalf came to pay his respects to his predecessor, Butters. #NeverForget

That's all I've got so far. It's a small update, but a start nonetheless. There is one aspect of this build that I haven't settled on and would like some opinions concerning which mercenary would be more interesting.

Obviously, I've already chosen the name :P
-- Albus Dumbbelldore

... However, I can't decide on Albus being an Act 3 (Cold or Lightning) or Act 5 merc. I lean more towards an Act 5 merc that deals elemental damage (kind of wizard-like, right?), but an Act 3 cold merc could help slow/freeze enemies which would help increase Gaindalf's defense. There will be plenty of time to decide since I won't be reaching Act 3 or Act 5 any time realsoon.

I don't believe in chest exercises. I focus strictly on my calves.

I love it

I’m a gym rat myself so you’re in good company.

Oh nice! If it's alright with you, DM me your workout. I love incorporating new lifts/circuits that people come up with into my workouts. Gotta "shock" the body, you know? One of the few perks of this whole quarantine is that I can lift anytime I want now in the gym I have set up in my garage since all of the gyms in my area have closed.

Dang.. only 9 more lbs and you would have been set. Lift your wife.. Once you get acclimated to her weight, feed her more. Problem solved, buddy!

 You guys crack me up!

Another interesting WT, good luck man, I'll be following!

Act III merc will be useful for norm and maybe NM, I'd say definitely consider A5 or A2 later down the road though, as your main attack is going to be single-target and you'll need more direct fire support ;)

Regarding the fitness thing, not in to weights/gym etc but I'm quite the keen road cyclist. I'm 6'4 and about 75kg so perfect build for it! Got a beautiful Rapide road bike, all carbon  Used to do 80+ miles a day. Then the drinking and smoking got out of control  Thankfully that's on the mend these days and I'm slowly getting back in to it!
