Yo pretty sure Substance is native with C4D you scrub. You can make some of the most amazing textures/materials, even super sexy procedural textures. Adobe just bought them out so not sure what the future holds for it. Also Substance painter is another portion of it that is super powerful.

Octane/Keyshot are gud

Idk how far along you are into your C4D endeavors, but blender is just as powerful with hundreds of free plugins. Learning curve as with any software but its great.

yeah there's a lot of things i wanna learn in terms of sculpting and texturing and i'll find the time eventually but i still gotta get my feet under me first a bit
